SERVICES PROVIDED ONSITE AT YOUR FACILITY -  WORKING WITH YOUR SCHEDULE

Laser Scanning:

  • When using the laser scanning feature of the Absolute Arm, any 2D or 3D shape can be captured and transferred to the specialized software. It can then to be used for many applications such as measurement comparisons or recreating the object in CAD for reverse engineering requirements.

Part to Part Comparison:

  • This is used to check variations in identical parts to better understand the potential manufacturing deviations. This is especially useful for blow molded components which tend to have modest variations part to part.

Part to CAD Comparison:

  • This is the most common application provided. By either laser scanning or taking points with the probe we can compare the physical component to the CAD data to determine the deviation. Various types of reports can be generated depending on your needs.

Check Fixture Inspection:

  • In many cases check fixtures or part nests have adjustable elements that will adapt to deviations in part size and shape. Using our equipment we can adjust the fixture to ensure that all the components locations are recorded and adjusted accordingly.

Part Layout:

  • If you require a full GD&T layout, we will provide a fully ballooned comparison as required in the 2D drawing.

Tool Layout:

  • We will laser scan or use the probe to accurately compare the tool (injection mold, dies or tooling) to the CAD data to ensure the surfaces are within the tolerance required. We typically use the tooling balls or features to align the tool to CAD data.
